Freeze-dried Organic Blueberry Powder.

We take our delicious, carefully frozen premium organic blueberries, freeze-dry and pulverize them into a superfood powder that preserves all of the blueberries’ nutritional value for many years, without the need to refrigerate or store in a freezer.

The powder is super lightweight and can be used for cooking/baking, adding to yogurt and cereals, sauces, ice cream, teas and many other foods for added nutrition and flavour.

There are no preservatives or sugar added, just simply organic blueberries!
These Two Colour Blueberry Muffins are naturally coloured and flavoured with our Falconglen Freeze-dried Organic Blueberry Powder! The recipe is easy, and the result is amazing! The Blueberry Powder gives this nice purple colour and blueberry flavour to the muffins, and the frozen blueberries add freshness and incredible sweetness!

Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • 180 g sugar
  • 180 g soft butter
  • 1 tspn baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 220-240 g flour
  • 1 cup frozen or fresh blueberries organic bluberries
  • 2 tspn freeze-dried organic blueberry powder

Method:

  • Preheat oven to 350 F (180 C) and prepare muffin tray with 12 muffin liners.
  • Beat soft butter and pinch of salt in a food mixer (or hand mixer) on middle speed until fluffy.
  • Add sugar and mix until butter becomes lighter in colour.
  • Add eggs one by one, and blend until the sugar is melted.
  • Add flour and baking powder and stir until combined and smooth batter.
  • Divide the batter into two equal parts. In one half add the blueberry powder and blend until you have a uniform violet colour.
  • Fold in 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries to each part of the batter and quickly mix.
  • Scoop the batter into each muffin liner, alternating the natural coloured batter and the blueberry coloured batter.
  • Bake approximately 25-30 minutes, until tops are golden brown.
  • Let the muffins cool and enjoy!
